Lemons are most delicious when whipped into a dessert (as seen here, here and here) and this lemon bar recipe had the perfect citrus lemon flavor combined with a savory crust that seriously melts in your mouth. I have been ordering lemon bars at every café I go to (I have a new obsession with lemon desserts) and thought I'd try making these myself. I didn't expected it to be so easy, I literally baked them after rolling out of bed Monday morning (we had a long weekend) and I indulged in them all afternoon.

Sweet goodness. I am not a big citrus fan, but I can always be 100% satisfied by a lemon bar.
And I know what you mean about the butter - that's one of the reasons I'm afraid to bake. When you bake, you see how much butter, oil and sugar actually goes into these desserts. Oh well. Calories, schmalories. ;)
