Brazil Nut & Pear Crepe

The first time I made this dessert I had just bought a new cook book and decided to host an over the top 6 course dinner soiree for my closest friends with mailed out invitations and all.  When I came out of the kitchen with the grand finale, my friend's jaws definitely dropped at this dessert.  A part from looking all posh and fancy, sweetened pears wrapped up in crepe and served with strawberry sauce was really something else!

{Peeled and cored bosc pears simmered in water with cinnamon sticks, vanilla bean, sugar and cloves}
{Sweetened and Softened pears sit out to cool}
{Pear is stuffed with dates, brazil nuts and almond bits and wrapped up in a crepe}
{Strawberry sauce for extra sweetness}

P.S. I used a recipe out of my cook book so I will scan the recipe for you and update this post over the weekend

Holy moly! This is absolutely beautiful! I love the it's wrapped up in a crepe like a present. I've been wanting to do poached pears in rosé for sometime now. After poached, they're this beautiful baby pink color.

Thanks for stopping by and saying hi. I LOVE your blog! So glad I found it.
